Supervisor Jeff Leenhouts

Jeff Leenhouts has served as Penfield Town Supervisor since January 2023, bringing his financial expertise and collaborative leadership style to Town Hall. He is using those skills to keep budgets flat, improve quality of life for residents, and continue making meaningful progress in Penfield.

An active community leader, Jeff’s career has focused on finance, serving as a financial advisor and project manager with firms including Smith Barney, RBC Wealth Management, Home Leasing, and Home Properties. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. John Fisher College.

Jeff has been deeply involved in local organizations and charities, holding board positions with Penfield Little League, Boys and Girls Club, Boy Scouts of America's Seneca Waterways Council, Center for Youth, Newark-Wayne Community Hospital, Rochester Regional Health Foundation, Rochester Rotary Club, and the Rochester Police Foundation.

His professional and civic experience has equipped him with the tools to lead effectively; managing complex projects, balancing diverse interests, and delivering results while building consensus and strong relationships.

Jeff believes Penfield is more than just a place—it’s part of who he is. It’s where he and his wife raised their four children, where family holidays were celebrated, and where the town streets taught his kids to ride bikes and drive. For the Leenhouts family, Penfield is home in every sense of the word.

Councilman Bob Ockenden

Robert “Bob” Ockenden has been serving on the Penfield Town Board since 2020 and currently holds the role of Deputy Town Supervisor. He also serves as Chair of the Public Works Committee.

A fourth-generation Penfield resident, Bob brings deep community roots and decades of experience in public service. He has served as district administrator for the Pittsford Fire District for over 20 years, following his previous role as station manager. His professional background also includes work as a 911 emergency dispatcher for the City of Rochester and as a sales representative and repair technician for Pittsford Fire Equipment Corporation.

Bob has been a dedicated volunteer with the Penfield Fire District for more than 39 years, serving as Chief of the Department for two separate terms. His extensive experience in municipal operations, budgeting, and public safety makes him a valuable asset to the Town Board and to the residents of Penfield.

Councilwoman Candace Lee

Councilwoman Candace Lee is currently serving her four-year term on the Penfield Town Board, having been elected in 2022 as the first Asian American to hold the position.
